Ian Brookes

Ian has spent 25 years in the tech, services & software industries, as a founder, investor and advisor. After starting his career at PW, he was founder CFO and latterly CEO at an IT Services business, listing on AIM and then FTSE. In this time, the company grew from £18m to £220m turnover.

Fed up of living on the West Coast Main Line, he focused on Manchester, with ventures including Winning Pitch, Canddi and Cake. He is currently turning his hand on the board or investor/advisor at Hiring Hub, CheckdMedia, my2be, Nivo, Dataviewer and BankiFi, helping them scale and grow.

The last four businesses above are startup tech ventures supported by his latest enterprise, thestartupfactory.tech, https://thestartupfactory.tech/ which provides technical development resource and financial investment to tech startups.

He is a Member of the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists, and a Freeman of the City of London – with an outstanding invitation to drive a flock of sheep across London Bridge.
