Laura Harper

Volker is an entrepreneur who founded/co-founded a total of 7 companies so far. He is a co-founder of Blue Beck, a 50-strong mobile development firm with 400+ person-years mobile development experience.

Volker is also an active angel investor, a Venture Partner at Emerge Education, Europe’s leading EdTech accelerator, and the Chairman of Bibblio. He is a board member and/or advisor to another 7 companies in EdTech, IoT, Travel, Advertising and Gaming and a co-founder of Tech North Advocates, a non-profit initiative seeking to aid the evolving tech ecosystems in the North. Volker is also a frequent keynote speaker at technology conferences and corporate events around the world.

Previously, he was the Chief Strategy Officer at Scoreloop (a mobile social gaming platform with, at its peak, 450m users), which was acquired by BlackBerry where he was subsequently acting as its Global Head of Games. Volker is a corporate lawyer by original profession.
