Susan Woodward OBE


Susan is Executive Chair of Manchester Creative Digital Assets Ltd (MCDA), having established £40 million portfolio of facilities for the digital and creative sector. A former newspaper journalist and TV Producer she founded The Sharp and Space Projects, purpose built facilities to encourage tech start ups and produce high end drama for both the UK and International market.

Formerly Managing Director of the ITV Granada Television, she was Creative Director for the 2002 Commonwealth Games, then Creative Director for the Liverpool “European Capital of Culture” 2008 bid ,then established the Capital of Culture company.

Susan has twice been named NW Business Woman of the Year 2005/2013. Now a Life Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts she is recipient of the RSA 2014 Bicentenary Medal as well as Life Fellow of the New York based Tribeca Disruptive Innovation Awards (TDIA), which celebrates those whose ideas have broken the mold to create significant impact.
